After a few different sets of pickups, fender and Seymour Duncan, I have finally found "the" definative strat sound, with the much coveted and highly usefull slightly hotter bridge p/u. I have installed them with a premium mojotone "blender" kit, which has cuts low tolerance 250k pots, and a .022uf orange drop cap. Must say, this will do cleans, blues, and hard rock very well. The bridge pu tied to a tone control fattens up very nicely under gain, and the neck pickup is very smooth and bluesy. The notch positions "quack" just like they should. For reference I am playing through a bugera v-5, and a fender mustang 3. Am interesting note on my particular set, is that the bridge pu reads 6.4k, midddle read 6.3k, and neck is 5.9k ( neck and mid supposed to be 5.9k) since the mid is not rw/rp, I stuck it I the neck slot, and am very pleased to have a slightly overwound pu in the neck and bridge, with a vintage spec'd mid pu. Very pleased indeed.
