Fender Classic Player '60s Stratocaster® Electric Guitar, Rosewood Fingerboard, 3-Tone Sunburst Review

This is an excellent, excellent guitar. I go for Gilmour tones and believe me this guitar and a little filth and finger will get you there. Huge sustain for a strat with the 12" neck, something I had to get used to after 9.5" and 7.5"s. I have a used 2006 with AY initialed C69s dated 11-20-06 and it sounds beautiful clean and distorted. The only thing that might confuse you at first is the THICK poly finish, and on a guitar this good that's no deal breaker. I also have a '85 NY shop ESP strat and it's the only other guitar in my price range that rivals the Classic Player. So do yourself a favor -- find a used one, get a good set up and intonation and you'll have a guitar that will give you years of happiness (but seriously try to get a good used one, it takes a long time to break in a good strat, they aren't cars they're made to be beaten into submission!) LOVE THIS GUITAR!
