Product Description

The mahogany body and set-in 3-piece mahogany neck are robust yet very playable, while a set of EMG's (an 81 in the bridge and 60 at the neck) are incredibly clean at low volumes and nasty when cranked up. Addtional pro-grade highlights include rock-solid Schaller locking tuners, TonePros T3B-T bridge with stoptail, and an Earvana compensated nut to improve intonation. It's trimmed with black hardware and abalone binding.

Had this guitar for a year or two, So I'll give out my comments on this purchase; First, This is an ESP LTD 1000 model (In the middle between the affordable Chinese models and the High-end professional U.S.A models) and I paid $799.00 for this guitar and I was expecting to get my money's worth; I don't know if the DH of ESP's quality control department was asleep but a lot happened between the factory and the delivery truck; Out of the box, I noticed dark flecks of paint in the wrapping, I look at the guitar and there's a dent a couple inches from the cable jack, Not a ding-blemish, A dent the size of an almond with bare wood showing in the center, I took it in for repair and it cost $75.00 to get it done; The volume pot is at '10' about 90% on the dial, The bridge pick-up isn't a perfect 90 degrees when it was installed, More like 86, O.K. I sound High-maintainance but when you pay that much money, Those imperfections are gonna be magnified and glaring, I decided for myself to hang onto this guitar because for some reason they are difficult to locate, No stores carry this one(???), If I showed this guitar to someone straight out of the box, They would say it was a 'B' stock; Other than all these issues, This guitar is a keeper, I just wish ESP or the stores that carry them would exercise a lot more quality control.
