I am a big advocate of anything iZotope. This product does do what it's supposed to, and very well at that. BUT, I would recommend just going with Ozone 4 instead. Alloy is GREAT for real time effects, but if your only application is recording, then definitely just grab Ozone 4 instead. Ozone might not be real time, but overall it's MUCH more effective and has many more features. So moral of the story, if you want real time effects with low to ZERO latency, get Alloy. Otherwise just go with Ozone 4 and you will be set. That being said, I do have both, and do use both. Sometimes Alloy just does it easier. And sometimes they work very well together. If you have the money grab both, if not, just get Ozone 4.
