The Fishman Sonitone system features proven Sonicore under-saddle pickup technology combined with easy access volume and tone controls conveniently and strategically located just inside the soundhole. The Martin D12XAE comes with a modified low oval neck made of Stratabond with a 20-fret black Richlite fingerboard. The hand rubbed finish adds a look of pure class - pure Martin! Additional highlights include sealed chrome tuners, compensated Tusq saddle, tortoise color pickguard and a custom rosette of inlaid Boltaron with red fiber and a multiple black/white/black pattern. Martin D12XAE 12-String Acoustic/Electric Guitar Review

I've been looking for a good acoustic 12-string for several months. I had started out by looking at cheaper models, such as Ibanez, and Rogue, also tried a Fender, I was disappointed with all of them. The strings were too close to each other, and the action on the necks were horrible, about impossible to stay in tune and impossible to play in regular tuning. A new music store opened in my area, and I saw this Martin there and had to try it. I'm totally impressed with it, its super easy to play, and the action is great even in regular and open tunings. It's a lot of fun to play and has a full bodied sound like it should. The neck is what is usually seen on a 12-string but it's not intimidating if this is your first time playing one. I'm having so much fun with this guitar playing old Leadbelly and Blind Willie Mctell records. This guitar also sounds great through an acoustic amp.
