Installed in my 2004 MIM Strat. Had to fill and redrill 4 of the 6 mounting holes. Didn't mind as the Strat was bought with the intent of using it to learn how to do mods. I also drilled a hole from the trem cavity to the jack cavity to route the Fishman pickup wire more directly and avoid it getting pinched by the trem block (which is big and meaty for great sustain). This bridge is a "drop in" for Strats with US spacing.So how does it sound? AMAZING! From the stereo jack I ran the Strat pickups to my guitar rig and the Fishman output to a Bose L1 Compact system. (I picked up a NOS Fishman Powerblend to split the piezo signal from the magnetic signal rather than install the Powerchip and a 9V battery.) The sound was breathtaking. I honestly was taken aback at how rich the Strat sounded as an "acoustic."
As a Strat tremolo the Fishman Powerbridge exceeded my expectations. With 3 springs installed and the tension set for full float I can do dive bombs and stretch the strings like a madman and it goes back to tune.
