i have played a jackson warrior since i saw my first one 6 years ago after learning to play.i bought a blue one and it was a lower end model like this one.i found it ez to play and fast necked,so i moved up a notch for the better more expensive model and found it very similar.i now play a couple of WRXTMG'S,and am addicted to them.
this was a purchase for my son and again i tried it out and had no complaints ,especially at the price point.
it is a great beginner to intermediate players guitar.
as a musician,and teacher i have always preached that buying a cheap guitar can actually dissuade the beginner from wanting to play.settings are usually high,cheap materials are used inside and out.the newbie may find the fret seperators too long and hurts as he moves up and down the neck.
i learned on a ibanez destroyer dt 120,though used,the previous owner was a fanatic about the cheap little oddities,and changed them.i still own that guitar.
so as a bare minimum i always suggest trying out all guitars in the 400.00 dollar range.if the beginner decides he doesn't want to play guitar you will always get your money back.for 400. bucks you can find some well made choices,such as fender mim strats,epiphone les pauls ,etc.but for 250. this is a solid piece which i would have no problem playing live.
it is a winner,and i highly recommend this as a choice.
