Been playing guitar for the better part of 14 years. Bought this guitar mainly out of curiosity (price being so cheap).

I was completely surprised when I received this! Great construction and overall build quality. The sound was eh OK at best. So I replaced ALL of the electronics and this thing is just great, it really comes alive. Sustain could be better, but for the price, you cant complain at all!

If your on the fence about this guitar, just go for it....you will NOT be disappointed....

I got this bass about five years ago when I first started Jazz band in middle school, I'm just about to graduate and its still holding together, despite having to withstand the torture of a high school band student. Just watch out for the grounding of all the internals or you'll get a wicked buzz whenever it is played and after awhile all you get is buzz, But a $20 fix and its been working like a dream. Since its a Precision Bass it has a lot of attack to it so if you want to play rock or metal this is perfect. Especially if you use a fuzz pedal.

JazzKat Amplifiers TomKat 10" Review

I love this thing! I spent a few weeks trying to decide if I should get this or the Henriksen Jazzamp and went with this in the end because of the extra features. I personally don't think you can go wrong with either of these two great companies but what sold me in the end was the Jazzkat has an extra channel and the tube adds just a little bit of warmth.

The tube (which you can turn on and off) fattens the sound up a bit, it's not huge but it's noticeable. The effects that are built in on this amp aren't something you would record with but sound fine for your average gigs/rehearsals. It's great that we finally have options for amps like these and aren't stuck with 30 year old polytones.

The best sub performance I have ever had in 12 years. Compact, light, POWERFUL. Can handle btween 2000-4000 watts bridged mono. Im only running 2400 watts with a QSC2450 and Im going to upgrade to an amp with about 3200-3500 watts to see what it can do without getting to close to its limit. $1000 bucks is reasonable considering I've burnt the coil in 3 out of 4 Harbinger subs at a loss of about $800 bucks. The only thing that it could use is maybe some casters(wheels) on the back bottom for transport. Unless you have long arms you will need another person to carry into most venues. The "rhino liner" or whatever its called is ok but does chip exposing the wood. Recommend buying some extra hardware like corner gaurds. I use hockey pucks to protect the top from stacking "Mains" with broken or no feet. Watch your clipping and have fun!

I always purchase covers for my speakers - it pays off in the long run. I hate spending the extra money after having spent a fortune on equipment but like I say, the investment is well worth it. These covers are really nice though. I love the reinforced front which protects the speaker grille. I haven't found a use for the back pocket yet but I can see it could come in handy for some folks. I purchased 2 of these and Amazon had the best price around.
